Mia Urquico started selling clothes from the trunk of her car in 1988 when she was in her sophomore year in Assumption College. While pursuing her degree in entrepreneurship, she shuttled between school and her first showroom in Virra Mall Greenhills. In 1992 after graduating from school, she opened her flagship store in the Shangri-la Plaza where she continues to meet both new and loyal clients. It’s been 32 years and Mia continues to create pieces that evoke classic glamour, femininity, and playfulness.
Being an avid learner, Mia finished her master’s degree in entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management in 2004 then pursued a fashion design course at the Central Saint Martins in London.
In keeping with Mia‘s ethos of making women and men look good from the inside out, Mia has redefined Mico to mean:
M - Make a difference
I - Inspire
C - Care
O - One with you
